Rock Collection

Allie's rock collection.

In my house, you'll find a few different collections.  Quarry Critters (my personal favorite), Johnny Depp movies, 1/24 scale NASCAR models (mostly all packed away now), and some pieces to the Department 56 Dicken's Village.  Not much...but enough that they can be categorized as being "collections".

Slowly over the last few days, a new collection has sprung up.  On my window sill over my kitchen sink, of all places.  It's a rock collection which Allie started.  She has a habit of walking up our stone walk way to our front door and selecting one or two little rocks to "smuggle" into the house.  It all started innocently enough...she snuck one in, her father found it, and we put it on the sill.  Then it happened again the next day.  And the next.  And now it's reached the point where she purposely picks one up and brings it to me and points to the window sill.  Last night, with a boost from her dad, she added to the collection herself.

I know that at some point, it's going to become more of a rock "train" than a "collection"...but until then, I'm content to let her bring in her little souvenirs from outside.  :)
